Prince Salman Center for Disability Research (PSCDR), in collaboration with Al-Faisal University, opened an international scientific symposium on “Bionics, Robotics Rehabilitation” at the university campus in Riyadh on Tuesday.

The symposium aims to enrich relevant research that would increase cognitive awareness in the Kingdom. It reflects the concerns of Prince Sultan bin Salman, PSCDR’s chairman of the board, in providing all avenues and necessary technology to meet the needs of disabled people, especially children.

“PSCDR has been committed to accomplishing these objectives by organizing specialized seminars in scientific research fields, as part of the advanced academic training program. It is developed by PSCDR in cooperation with various universities and scientific research centers in the Kingdom,” said Sultan Al-Sedairy, PSCDR’s executive director.

Emphasizing the importance of the partnership between PSCDR and Al-Faisal University, he said the objective is to promote scientific research in the Kingdom through seminars that present the latest achievements in the field of care and rehabilitation for people with disabilities. He also highlighted the advanced research and academic programs adopted by the PSCDR.

Faisal Al-Mubarak, vice-president and chief academic officer at the university, and various high-ranking officials and foreign guests, attended the two-day event.
