JUBAIL: The Royal Commission for Jubail (RCJ) is almost ready to launch the Date and Palm Festival which will run from Aug. 27 to Sept. 5 at the famous Al-Fanateer waterfront in Jubail Industrial City.

Abdullah bin Ibrahim Al-Muhammadi, director of the RCJ’s social services department and general supervisor of the festival, said: “Preparations are in full swing for the launch of date and palm festival in Jubail. A large area in the festival has been allocated to allow the owners of dates factories and palm plantations in the Kingdom to showcase their products.”

“The nine-day festival aims to provide the appropriate environment for communication between marketers and buyers, as it is expected to draw visitors from all regions of the Kingdom and the Gulf neighboring states,” he said.

Al-Muhammadi called on all companies specialized in date palm plants and dates products to participate in the event by checking the department’s Twitter account: @SocialRCJubail.
