JEDDAH: The Jeddah municipality Thursday urged all restaurants including those where fish is served exclusively not to add any extra service charges for dining facilities. The order covers restaurants on the outskirts of Jeddah.

Nasser Al-Mateb, assistant secretary of Jeddah municipal affairs, said the municipality has prevented restaurants from charging extra for providing closed places with seating arrangements.

Levying extra charges will be considered violation of municipal rules and regulations, he said.

Restaurants are obliged to provide a healthy, air-conditioned ambiance to the customers, according to the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.
