The General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities held a meeting on Thursday for hotel investors and the Etaam Society to plan how hotels can help support the society by providing surplus food.

The vice president and the supervisor of the authority, Al-Bakhit, praised the efforts and the social programs of Etaam Society, and called for tourist accommodation facilities anåd hotels to supply them with any surplus food for distribution to the needy. He said the Etaam Society will work directly with the hotels to agree on a mechanism to receive the surplus food and drinks.

Following the meeting, the Etaam Society signed cooperation agreements with the Saudi Hotels Association, Makarm Hospitality Group, Ritz Carlton Hotel, Noboa Hotel, Sheraton Hotel and AlFaisaliah Hotel.

Al-Anoud Novotel also signed an agreement with Etaam to support the implementation of its programs.

The General Authority for Tourism and Antiquities Assembly recently discussed with the society the implementation of a memorandum of understanding signed at the Saudi Investment Travel and Tourism Forum.

It is worth mentioning that Etaam Society will establish training courses in coordination with accredited training centers for hotel employees to promote the culture of rationalization in the consumption of foods, and a logo will be placed on the food packaging that will be distributed to the needy.
