RIYADH: The Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organisation (SASO) is due to conduct a training on the “Requirements of International Standard ISO 9001:2015” on Sept. 9 and 10 in the Saudi capital.

During the training, speakers will aim to explain the requirements of the ISO 9001 Standard for 2015, and will work to clarify the amendments contained in the specification in accordance with the new version.

SASO, which was established in 1972, has the responsibility of determining and enforcing approved standards of services, facilities, utilities and products in the Kingdom.

The training will also aim to explain the requirements of the ISO 9001 Standard 2015 and clarify the amendments contained in the specification in accordance with the new version.

It is the world’s most popular standard for quality management and is now under review. An updated version is due to be available by the end of 2015.

The training will also highlight the differences between the version of 2008 and this year’s version, and will help the participants develop a strategy to implement and apply those changes on their sites effectively.

SASO has called on all concerned and interested parties to participate in the training which is necessary for facilitating the smooth transition and modernization of the quality management systems in place.

“Such management systems comply with the requirements of the specification for a new edition,” SASO said in a statement.
