Saudi Aramco concluded its charitable campaign in the city of Abha on Thursday, which sought to distribute the “gift of knowledge” to distinguished students in need within the region, in the form of 382 tablet computer devices filled with useful and appropriate educational applications.

The meeting was attended by Galawey bin Mohammed Al-Kirkman, director general of the Department of Education in Asir, Yahya Al-Zahrani, representative of Saudi Aramco Affairs in the Western Region, and a large number of parents at the Al-Muftaha theater.

Al-Kirkman praised the leadership of Aramco in its social initiatives, which offered support to the Kingdom’s current effort to transition into a knowledge society.

Al-Kirkman thanked Aramco and its partners in this initiative, taking the opportunity to offer positive examples of the way that Aramco continues to support people in need within the community by resourcing talent and promoting learning.

The “gift of knowledge” initiative was part of a campaign launched by Saudi Aramco in cooperation with Saudi Telecom Company, the Takaful Charity Foundation, Huawei Investment Technologies, and other specialists in the field of communication.

In total, 13,000 students across 31 cities from different regions of the Kingdom will benefit from this campaign.
