Saudi medical practitioner Nouf Marwaai captured the limelight during a career guidance program at International Indian School, Jeddah on Saturday as she gave a presentation on naturopathy, highlighting its amazing prospects in treating various diseases.

Marwaai, CEO of Naturopathy Company and president of Arab Yoga Foundation, impressed the audience including parents and students as she encouraged many of them to go for this important stream that is gaining popularity around the world, including Saudi Arabia.

She spoke about the benefits of Ayurveda, yoga and natural lifestyle and introduced stalwarts in the field like Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. H.K. Bakhru and Dr. Mukesh Bhatia who have made immense contributions to promote naturopathy.

“I want to learn more about naturopathy and Ayurveda because the more I study the greater will be my ability to fathom this vast ocean of knowledge,” she told Arab News.

For the last five years Marwaai has been studying at PVA Ayurvedic in Kannur in the south Indian state of Kerala. She practices and teaches yoga and promotes neuropathy and has got several Saudi clients.

“We educate people on the natural life style which is essential for Saudis to get rid of obesity and many diseases. I strictly follow a natural lifestyle and will not take any junk food. People have to keep away from faulty lifestyle, sleep on time and eat on time and should not eat sweets a lot,” she said, adding that overeating has become a culture of Saudis.

The career guidance program was organized by IISJ Alumni. “We would like to support of our school by sharing our knowledge and experience,” said Asim Zeeshan, the alumni’s president.

“We have invited a number of IISJ graduates who hold important positions in major companies to speak about new career opportunities,” he said. Zeeshan disclosed plans to hold seminars on different topics on a regular basis for Class XI and XII students.

IISJ Principal Masood Ahmed thanked the alumni for their commendable job and expressed his hope that the program would enable IISJ graduates to explore new career opportunities available in India, Saudi Arabia and other parts of the world.

Mohammed Raghib Qureshi, head of the chancery and school observer, Rachael Swati, legal adviser at Hani Quraishi Law Firm, Imran Khan of Middle East International Education Consultancy, Atif Karimuddin of American Express, and Robert Jurgens, project manager at AECOM Arabia, also spoke.

Talal Saharti of Okaz, Huzefa Yonus Sailawala of Aljozoor Alrashekha Trucking Co., Sameera Mohsin, a health management consultant and Dharam Kapoor, managing director, Advisors 360 were other speakers.
