MADINAH: The scientific committee of the IEEE Cloud 2015 that was held in New York between June 26 and July 3 at the Millennium Broadway Hotel, chose a scientific paper from a Saudi scholarship student from Madinah’s Taiba University.

Mohammad Abdul Rahman Mohammad Al-Ahmadi is the only Saudi participant at the conference and the only Saudi whose paper was accepted among research papers.

Dr. Khaled Khushhaal, head of higher studies and scientific research at Taiba University, praised Al-Ahmadi who works as a researcher in the community college in Khaibar and represents the Kingdom and Taiba University.

He said the research paper presented by Al-Ahmeidi is considered the first to be presented on lowering energy consumption at data centers in cloud computing and is one of the more important research papers.

He said one of the concerns of the higher studies section is to follow up on the progress of those who are sent on scholarship.

Al-Ahmadi said his research is titled “An Innovative Energy Aware Cloud Task Scheduling Framework,” and is related to reduction in the consumption of energy.
