For the second year in a row, the Indiana University of Pennsylvania has awarded a Saudi student, Mohammad bin Hassan Al-Arjani, the 'Chactivity' Award (an award based upon impressive displays of Character, Civility and Integrity) for his efforts to serve the local community through his volunteer works on the campus, in addition to his participation in a number of student and academic committees of importance. Al-Arjani is currently attending the university through a scholarship which was awarded to him.

Al-Arjani received the Chactivity Award from Dr. Michael Driscoll, the president of the university.

The award honors distinguished students for the voluntary work, community service, initiative and leadership.

Al-Arjani is in his fourth year at the faculty of Information Technology, specializing in Human Resources Management. During his studies, he accomplished outstanding voluntary work within the local community, while also leading the Saudi Club at the university, working at the students' international office and participating in a number of programs and activities to serve the local area.

In a related issue, Mohammad Jummaa, another student on a similar scholarship in Texas, graduated at the top of his class with an honors degree in computer science and technology. The research carried out by Jummaa explored important issues related to firewalls installed in computer networks to prevent attacks on central management and information systems.
