Saudi students have brought honor to their country by winning the Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creations 2015 in the UAE for the fourth time.

“It is a moment of pride for Saudi Arabia that our children have won the contest for the fourth time in a row,” Saudi Cultural Attaché Saleh bin Hamad Al-Sahibani told Arab News.

The competition was held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai.

Speaking at the celebration ceremony held at the Women’s Association Hall of Renaissance Dubai, Al-Sahibani said this year marked the 16th contest of the Childhood creation awards.

He congratulated all the winners for bringing honor to the nation and praised their success and intelligence.

Sahibani focused on the importance of participation in such events and praised the continuous support of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Ministry of Education for the development of education.

The winners included Raneem Mohammed Alzenqr who won second place in the short story contest; Abdul Razak Ali Ibrahim of Al-Ajlan National School scored first place in article writing; Mazen Mohammed Yahya won third place in the historical research contest and Misfer Nasser Al-Qahtani was in first position for the religious research contest.

Saleh Al Dosari, the academic affairs director from the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission, also expressed his appreciation to the in charge of the Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed Award for Childhood Creations 2015 for their efforts.

He said it reflects the vision and depth of those who were in charge of the awards that not only highlighted the creation of Saudi Students in scientific knowledge but also gave them the academic and creative skills and experience in various fields.
