RIYADH: Saudis studying in various US universities celebrated Eid Al-Adha and the 85th National Day with fervor by organizing a number of entertainment activities.

Students at the University Park in Kansas City, Missouri, held a program with academic officials and other students of various nationalities in this regard.

Saad Abis Al-Shihri, president of the Saudi Students’ Club, congratulated fellow students on this occasion and expressed his happiness to be a part of the twin celebrations.

Folk dances were presented to highlight Saudi culture and to entertaining the students.

Ibtisam Ahmed Faqirah, who supervised the event, thanked the organizers and the participants to help make the event successful.

Saudi students at the Marshall University in West Virginia marked the twin celebrations by organizing a program, which was attended by the city governor as well as large number of university officials and students.

In connection with the Saudi National Day, Abdullah Asiri, president of the Saudi Students’ Club, highlighted the sacrifices of their elders for their country.

“The Saudi students’ efforts and hard work in the fields of science and technology are part of the essence of celebrating the Kingdom’s National Day,” he said.
