The Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities and Etaam, a philanthropic organization, have agreed to work together to serve needy people by utilizing surplus food left in hotels in Riyadh and the Eastern Province.

A huge amount of food is wasted on a daily basis in hotels, an official at the commission’s headquarters said on Saturday, highlighting the need to make use of these resources to help those in dire need.

“The commission in cooperation with Etaam association seek to expand their philanthropic work to include receiving surplus food from hotels across the Kingdom to help the needy,” the official said.
