The Ministry of Interior announced Thursday that the Security Forces Hospital in the Saudi capital has been upgraded for this year’s Haj.

Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Naif said in a statement that his ministry is working with the Ministry of Labor to ensure top-class patient care.

Meanwhile, the Makkah-based Security Forces Hospital, the Interior Ministry and the Central Blood Bank in Makkah will launch a blood donation campaign on Oct. 17.

Nasser bin Abdullah Al-Muhaini, director general and supervisor general of Haj works, said in a statement that the hospital requires blood.

The Security Forces Hospital is a government-owned facility providing care mainly for Interior Ministry personnel and their families. 

It has advanced facilities for surgery, anesthesia, gynecology, pediatrics and dentistry among others.
