MADINAH: The police here have arrested a man in his thirties for 40 cases of theft from ATMs in the city and Tabuk.

The man had various methods to rob the machines. Keys, screwdrivers and ATM cards were found in his vehicle after his arrest, according to a report in a local publication on Tuesday.

The outlaw had reportedly carried out 30 operations in Tabuk and 10 in Madinah. Police Director Maj. Gen. Abdul-Hadi bin Dirham Al-Shahrani had set up a team of detectives to track down and nab the man using clues found at the crime sites.

The man had been moving between Tabuk, Ola and Madinah, where a trap was successfully set for him.

The case has been referred to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution, said media spokesman for Madinah police, Col. Fahd bin Amer Al-Ghannam.
