RIYADH: The Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Investigation Directorate, arrested six people in cases related to the nation’s security.
The suspects are being investigated by the relevant authorities, including the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution.
The Tawasol portal, which is allocated for communications between prisoners who are being investigated and their families, announced an updated list of detainees. The list clarified that security agencies arrested six people, of three nationalities, during the first two days of Ramadan.
The list showed that the agencies arrested four people on the first day of Ramadan. They were an Emirati, a Palestinian and two Saudis.
Two other Saudis were arrested on the second day of Ramadan.
Tawasol contributes to strengthening relations between detainees and their families, and is one of the means that helps detainees communicate with their families.
Tawasol offers other services for families of detainees, such as filing applications to visit detainees, or paroles in certain circumstances, such as a death, wedding or other family occasion, in addition to communicating with the detainees’ lawyer.
The portal includes other electronic services away from traditional methods. These services aim to enable families to communicate with their families in a safe and secure manner.
