The poor behavior of some pilgrims is ruining the Haj, according to fellow pilgrims.

This was the case during this year’s Haj when several pilgrims were seen sleeping for hours under water trucks.

“I was quite embarrassed when I had to wake up pilgrims taking shelter under the trucks. They seemed to be very tired. The local authorities should intensify awareness campaigns to curb these negative practices that distort the image of the Haj,” said Omar Al-Ghamdi.

“These wrong practices are seen all over the world because they are broadcast by the television cameras of various media houses. This happens even though the security forces, company owners and pilgrims work hard to prevent these negative practices. But some Hajis simply don’t respond to advice,” he said.
