RIYADH: Madinah Gov. Prince Faisal bin Salman has urged graduates from a Qur’an memorization school here to follow and propagate the teachings of Islam so that they can help create a better society.

The prince was speaking at the graduation ceremony of the Charitable Society for the Memorization of the Holy Qur’an at the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah on Thursday.

A total of 110 young men and women received their certificates of merit from the governor at a ceremony here recently.

More than 5,000 young men and women have passed out as Hafiz from the society since its inception.

Ali bin Suleiman Al-Obeid, the school’s board chairman, thanked the governor and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for their support and encouragement to the reading, preserving and printing of the holy book, and for their other education initiatives for the youth.
