RIYADH: The state-owned company Tatweer Educational Transportation Services, or simply "Tatweer”, has implemented the Cabinet decision regarding the self-operation of the transfer of Saudi students to schools (both girls and boys) free of charge.

The firm began its operations three years ago to provide transportation services to more than 619,000 female students, and now offers free public school transportation service in all regions of the Kingdom to over 1.2 million boys and girls from government schools.

It operates a fleet of more than 25,000 buses equipped with high-tech facilities designed to meet the required Saudi educational transport standards. It also ensures the highest standards of security and safety for all on board, according to a Tatweer official.
