Tatweer, a Saudi holding company specializing in education, announced this week that it will construct 3,200 schools, 1,700 sports halls and 1,500 kindergartens in the next five years under the King Abdullah Project to Develop Public Education.

“Tatweer” held a series of meetings with Education Minister Prince Khalid Al-Faisal to discuss the project’s scope and its guidelines. According to the company’s statements, the number of beneficiaries will stand at 346,000 pupils across the country and 35,000 teachers and supervisors. Tatweer has applied its educational model in 900 schools so far and implemented 595 training sessions.

The firm also disclosed this week its plan to offer transportation services for more than one million pupils in the Kingdom and its intentions to expand services to 700,000 more next year.
