Several leading Saudi law experts are currently participating in an international conference to highlight issues around contracting, arbitration and other legal issues.

The Emirates Association for Lawyers and Saudi Law Training Center are the joint organizers of the Global Law Forum conference that started on Sunday in Dubai, which features 30 speakers from around the world for its nine sessions.

The three-day forum has about 200 lawyers, legal advisers, and representatives from the International Chamber of Commerce, International Union of Lawyers and other organizations taking part. Around eight Saudi law experts are participating as speakers on commercial arbitration and contracting issues.

Majid Karoob, the president of the Saudi Law Training Center and chairman of the forum's organizing committee, said the aim is to bring together lawyers, experts, engineers, senior executives, and managers from the private and public sectors.

He said the forum would offer workshops run by international experts and specialists. Professor Sami Al-Houerbi from the International Commercial Arbitration Court of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, will present specialized workshops on how to formulate arbitration clauses properly.
