A traffic department delegation visited the Makkah Center for Disabled Children recently as part of its traffic awareness campaign.

Najla Fakhruddin, director of the center, took the officials on a tour of the facility and briefed them on its rehabilitation programs.

Fakhruddin also introduced Col. Salman Al-Jumaie, director of the traffic department in Makkah, to the center’s wheelchair service. The delegation visited the section for children’s activities.

Teachers at the center then gave a live presentation of a street with traffic lights, vehicles and pedestrian crossings to educate the children about traffic regulations and safety.

Fakhruddin thanked Al-Jumaie for visiting the center. She said the facility plays a significant role in educating the public about the reasons for the growing number of children with disabilities.

The traffic officials gave the children gifts and took photographs with them before concluding their visit.
