RIYADH: The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has launched training programs for its female employees to upgrade their level of efficiency and provide quality services to the public.
Naglaa M., the training department manager in Riyadh, said the new steps come as part of government support to such programs in general, and women in particular.
She said the programs would help women employees improve their skills in different fields, especially in the MoI.
“Saudi women are now entering various government departments and getting more experience on how to deal with citizens, thanks to government support,” she said.
Naglaa said many citizens were suffering from misunderstandings between them and male employees, which calls for a focus on training the new female employees to make sure that they understand the rules and ways to deal with customers.
Sarah M., the training director at the women’s prison in Riyadh, said this step comes as a huge support for Saudi women.
She said they were organizing similar training sessions in their department.
As soon as they complete training, the women employees would be able to deal with different types of problems, particularly with women inmates, she said.
She said that the courses will guide trainees on how to turn women inmates into effective community members after the end of their prison term by giving them training and orientation programs.
