WASHINGTON: The founder and chairman of the Saudi-American Public Relations Affairs Committee, Salman Al-Ansari, has underscored the importance of the current visit of Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the United States, noting that it will promote the already strong relations between the two countries, which are based on solid historical constants.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Ansari pointed out that the history of this important relationship continued to develop until the era of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman, who read the regional and global scenes early and re-drafted it, in accordance with national interests and the common interests of the two allied countries, to guarantee the stability and security in the East, and the whole world, through harmony in addressing issues that have cropped up.
He explained that the visit of the deputy crown prince to the United States comes from a long-term political perspective, and aims to put the US administration before its responsibilities in maintaining strategic, political, economic and logistical interests with the Kingdom and the region, taking into account the position of the Kingdom in the Muslim and Arab worlds, as well as its position as an active member in the G-20.
The Kingdom has remained strong and a solid supportive country for international issues of peace and relief works in the world, which has been recently tested and manifested in the works of King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid.
American officials are aware of international efforts undertaken by the Kingdom in order to achieve stability and security in the Middle East and the world, a fact expressed by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman at his meeting with President Barack Obama during a visit to Washington in September 2015. The visit of the deputy crown prince comes in continuation of this principle and to cut off all attempts to question the level of relations between the two countries, which some regional and international parties try to market in order to influence the march of these common ties, he added.
Al-Ansari pointed out that the deputy crown prince is leading a new trend toward strengthening relations between the two countries, expressing the contents of Vision 2030 and details of the National Transformation Program 2020, a strategy by the Council of Economic Affairs and Development, headed by the deputy crown prince, in a move described as a quantum leap in the economic transformation of the Kingdom.
The Kingdom has tremendous wealth that could be invested and attract investors and US corporations to participate through economic partnership projects with mutual benefits.
