JEDDAH: The Jeddah municipality general administration of slaughterhouses and markets department announced that its livestock selling trucks will be located at 10 different locations in the city to sell livestock during Eid Al-Adha.

These livestock selling trucks will offer services to citizens during Eid Al-Adha to discourage illegal selling of livestock on the roads and in the neighborhoods, and also to make sure livestock prices remain stable during the Eid.

A spokesman for the municipality said that this will also help in reducing traffic congestion around the livestock market during Eid as a large number of people go for sacrifices of animals for Eid Al-Adha.

He said the municipality’s livestock mobile cars will be allocated near the main Jeddah slaughterhouse — east of Harmain Road, under the supervision of Umm Salm municipality; near the slaughterhouse and livestock market of South Jeddah, under the supervision of the South Jeddah municipality; Al-Sabil slaughterhouse in Al-Sabil district; Al-Nuzha slaughterhouse in Al-Nuzha; South Pepsi factory; behind Binladin Mosque; near Hamdaniya Marriage Hall, under the supervision of Bariman municipality; at Usfan Road; near Al-Manna Station, Usfan Road; Al-Ward neighborhood on Prince Majid Street.

The Jeddah Municipality requested that citizens and residents cooperate with the municipality and buy livestock only from slaughterhouses or from the municipality’s livestock mobile cars, and not from street vendors, in order to ensure that the animals sold to them are healthy.
