Thiruvananthapuram Swadeshi Sangamam (TSS) Jeddah, an Indian social and cultural organization in collaboration with King Abdulaziz University Hospital conducted a blood donation camp here recently where TSS executive members and others donated their blood.

The event was organized to mark the occasion of the World Health Organization’s International Blood Donation Day, which falls on June 14. “The day is intended to encourage the public to donate blood in order to save valuables lives of fellow human beings,” said TSS’s acting president Abuthaleb Vamanapuram.

University Hospital staff members Mohammed Abdali and Mujahid appreciated the efforts of the TSS team to organize the program.

Blogger Biju N. Nath Varkala commented that, “I felt honored donating blood to people in Saudi Arabia that plays host to millions of expatriates and their families.” He congratulated TSS and urged its office bearers to continue such humanitarian activities.

TSS executives M.K. Ashraf Kaniyapuram, Shajeer Kaniyapuram, Shareef Pallippuram, Haja Pachalloor, Anas Kallambalam, Mahesh Balarampuram, Joshi Sukumaran Varkala, Ramis Rasheed, Shamnad Kaniyapuram, Soofi Sainudeen and Ershad Ashraf supervised the camp and exerted their efforts to make it a success.
