RIYADH: The Technical Trainers College (TTC) is due to hold a teacher's exhibition on “Complex Teaching and Learning Arrangements,” in addition to a number of workshops on May 10.
An Open Day will also be held, demonstrating the development of the students as well as the progress of educational methods and digital modelling used in vocational pedagogy.
The students will also showcase the learning technologies that they have used in the classroom as well as the value of distance learning tools and samples of problem solving and critical thinking tasks across all major subjects.
“These students have spent almost two years in teacher training and are ready to showcase examples of project developments and technological visualization methods for teaching difficult topics,” said Dr. Thomas Fisch, head of the TTC Vocational Pedagogy Department.
He said that lecturers from TTC will offer short presentations that describe the ethos and philosophy of the Vocational Pedagogy Department as well as outlining the value of modern classroom methodologies.
He added that the expert speakers will describe TTC’s vision for teacher training and continuous professional development, which is based on a holistic approach which will be of great benefit to Saudi Arabia.
There will also be an alumni panel where TTC graduates will share their experiences as internationally qualified teachers in the Kingdom.
All TTC students, teachers as well as other interested individuals have been invited to attend the one-day exhibition, which is being organized by the Vocational Pedagogy Department at the TTC campus in Ar Rayyan district in the Saudi capital.
The TTC offers a three-year practical degree combining both pedagogical and job-specific elements designed to turn young vocational college graduates into well-qualified vocational teachers.
