RIYADH: Turkmenistan President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow and his accompanying delegation of ministers met here Monday a number of Saudi ministers and senior officials in order to enhance bilateral cooperation in different spheres including energy, agriculture, tourism and culture.
The president and his delegation arrived here on Sunday on a three-day visit. President Berdimuhamedow held wide-ranging talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and several ministers on Sunday during which a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding were signed.
He held a wide-ranging talk with Health Minister Khalid Al-Falih and discussed various ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the health care field.
The president also met with Prince Saud bin Abdullah bin Thunayan, chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu and the Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC), and discussed opportunities to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Commerce and Industry Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah held a wide ranging discussion with visiting Turkmenistan Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Dowran Orazmyradov, and the two agreed on ways to develop trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Culture and Information Minister Adel Al-Toraifi also held a meeting with his counterpart, Annageldi Garajayev, at the ministry here and signed an executive program for cultural cooperation between the two countries.
