RIYADH: The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) recommended Saudiaization of 150 professions in the coming three years, said a website.

Before coming to the recommendation, TVTC had recently carried out a study of the Saudi job market to determine which professions should be given priority for Saudiaization so that their professional levels are gradually improved.

The corporation has revised the syllabus of various technical and vocational specializations on which training was being given at the secondary level of technical and industrial colleges in all regions of the Kingdom.


These vocational courses include automobile technology, information technology, electronics, fashion and cosmetics, graphic design, architecture, food technology and chemical laboratory technology. This includes 100 training plans and was done keeping in view the developments in the Saudi job market to prepare youths with the required skills.

Fahad bin Manahi Al-Otaibi, spokesman of TVTC, said that the corporation was working on designing, development and modernization of training programs to continue to develop basic required technical and vocational skills among male and female youths to meet the demand of the Saudi job market. The changes introduced by the corporation in the programs were major qualitative transformation. The faculty of training colleges and sections from the job market have helped in the entire modernization process of the training programs.
