JEDDAH: The news of the attack on a mosque frequented by Saudi special emergency forces in Abha near Khamis Mushayt on Thursday met with an instant condemnation from Twitter users and followers.

The attack resulted in the martyrdom of 15 people, most of them security forces. The terrorists, who carried out the heinous crime, were roundly condemned by the Twitterati.

Sarah, who tweets via @SoosFahad, said: “My heart goes out to the families of the martyrs. Such a tragedy!”

Adil bin Arif (@abumiftah) said: “The Saudi Special Emergency Forces, who were victims of Abha bombing, are Muslims and are doing their duty and keeping the peace.”

Rameen Imran (@Rameen_21) said: “Just heard about it ... I strongly condemn it. Blast in a mosque? This is really sad.”

El Emperador Jaffa (@J4FN1) said: “My thoughts are with those who went to pray at the mosque today and never returned home. This is such a huge tragedy.”
