Specialist professionals from the Czech Republic will operate two health spa resorts that will soon be established in Jeddah and Riyadh.

The Czech Embassy’s Economic and Commercial consultant Petr Vlk told Arab News that the spas will be equipped with the latest medical equipment and managed by Czech doctors and highly qualified physical therapy specialists.

Mr. Vlk was speaking on the sidelines of a Czech businessmen and investors visit to the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday. The delegation met its Saudi counterpart, as well as JCCI Secretary General Adnan Mandoura.

Vlk said the two projects were discussed with Saudi businessmen at the Jeddah and Riyadh chambers, adding that they showed serious interest to begin the required steps for constructing the two spas as soon as possible.


More than 11,000 Saudis visited the Czech Republic last year for medical reasons. They sought physical therapy treatment for spinal column diseases and rheumatism, as well as heart disease treatments and others. He expects Saudi visitors to Czech Republic to increase by 10 to 20 per cent next year.
