Riyadh police have been instrumental in getting two Indonesian domestic helps their due — salaries amounting to SR 111,800, local media said.

The two women had fled to their embassy to seek help in receiving their financial entitlements from their sponsors. The embassy referred their case to the Security Center for the Care of Maids of Riyadh police.

The commander of Riyadh police ordered the formation of a special committee headed by Col. Abdulrahman Al-Jiraid who identified the sponsors and ordered them to pay the overdue salaries.

The two maids thanked the police for their efforts and expressed happiness at receiving their arrears.
