JEDDAH: Minister of Education Ahmed Al-Isa welcomed in his speech Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of King Abdulaziz University.

"I welcome you on this historic night in which you are promoting the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of King Abdulaziz University … as you continue to initiate good projects, including educational projects that you have launched on this blessed night, at a total cost estimated at more than SR10 billion.”

He added that King Abdulaziz University has become one of the region's leading universities and has also become a high scientific reference source after the completion of global accreditation requirements in a number of scientific disciplines and departments. The university competes with other Saudi universities in the race to achieve Vision 2030, which emphasizes the development of education at all stages, and is working to have at least five universities among the top 200 international universities in 2030. The minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to King Salman for the generous support which the education sector has received from the government.
