JEDDAH: The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) and other related bodies have uncovered an unlicensed office engaged in hotel booking run by women, Saudi Press Agency said.

The office used to make phone calls with citizens and residents showing their alleged ability to give them cards which allow their holders to enjoy special discounts in hotels chosen by them.

Meanwhile, Director General of SCTNH in the Makkah region Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Amri has lauded cooperation between Jeddah police, the Labor Office and SCTNH and their role in detecting such violations.

For his part, the director general of the Ministry of Labor’s Makkah branch, Abdullah Al-Ulayyan, expressed his readiness to cooperate with all concerned bodies in this regard.
