In a bid to save energy, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry confirmed recently that the law will be exerted against thermal insulation factories and businesses that do not adhere to the regulations.

The ministry called on consumers to report their complaints regarding thermal insulation to the ministry’s report center. Over the past months authorities have embarked on a campaign to improve building insulation, since it can help citizens, and the government, save energy.

Thermal insulation has been proven to decrease energy consumption, since the heat moves from outside the building to the inside, and vice versa in the winter because of the difference in temperature.

The heat transmitted either inside or outside depends on many factors. According to experts in energy efficiency and power rationalization, one of these factors is the difference between temperatures inside and outside, the thickness of the building materials in the walls, the ground, the ceilings and the nature of the materials used.
