A videoclip showing a newborn baby inside a cooking pot over a lit stove has provoked public outrage, said sabq.org online newspaper.

The videoclip of the newborn, who was inside the pot with a bunch of vegetables, was widely circulated over social media networks.

Several viewers, however, have strongly questioned the credibility of the clip and have demanded punishment for whoever is responsible if the clip is, in fact, authentic.

The clip, which does not display a date or location, shows a person standing over the stove.

The person, who can be heard speaking in what is clearly a Saudi accent, says he is about to finish cooking a “yummy” lunch.

The person in the clip removes the lid several times to move the food around with the baby inside it, the paper reported.
