NEW YORK: The Saudi Consul General in New York, Khalid bin Mohammed Ismail Al-Sharif, has noted the importance of the visit of Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, second deputy premier and minister of defense, and chairman of the Economic and Development Affairs Council, to New York to discuss a number of political and economic matters.
He said the visit is an important indicator of the trend toward a clear strategy of partnership between Saudi Arabia and the United States, and noted that it will include a number of meetings to discuss the most important issues between the two countries in a number of areas. The discussions will revolve around the support the two sides can lend to the Vision 2030 and the National Transformation Program.
He said that the State of New York, besides being the headquarters of the United Nations, is also the economic nerve of the United States and the financial capital in terms of its investment value and global market leadership.
Al-Sharif pointed to the efforts of the consulate and its members in making the visit possible and for taking care of all matters related to Saudis in New York, from students to visitors and residents.
