RIYADH: “Windows,” a Saudi volunteers’ group, marked Eid Al-Adha by distributing over 500 gifts among foreigners for their contributions to the Kingdom.

The recipients of Windows’ generosity included security guards for the services “they are rendering to the Kingdom in different ways and in various fields of endeavor.”

“One of the objectives of Windows is to show appreciation for the services of foreigners to the Kingdom in various sectors ,” Abeed Al-Barghash, Windows team supervisor, told online publication Sabq.

She said the recipients showed delight and pleasure for the gesture of generosity accorded to them by the Windows’ volunteers who went about their mission with enthusiasm.

A Windows team also went to one of the malls in the capital city to give candies and balloons to children as holiday gifts, she said.

Al-Bargash said the parents expressed thanks “for the humanitarian gesture” and that the delight and pleasure could be seen on the faces of the children.”

She expressed the hope that the same gesture would catch on among other volunteer groups in the Kingdom and do what Windows has done.

The Windows supervisor added that every effort should be made on behalf of the Kingdom and the participation of all citizens and residents is needed.

She said that this complements the efforts of the leadership to ensure not only prosperity for everybody but also safety and security.

“We should do our share in helping the Saudi leadership deliver more services to the citizens and other residents of the Kingdom,” she said.
