The Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission in Washington, D.C. honored recently more than 7,200 Saudi students who graduated from US universities in the 2012-2013 academic year.

Khaled Al-Anqari, minister of Higher Education; Adel Al-Jubeir, Saudi ambassador to the United States; and Mohammed Al-Eissa, Saudi cultural attache in the US, attended the celebration event.

During the celebration, Al-Angary inaugurated the sacmmentors.org website designed to assist Saudi students in obtaining information and admission requirements for universities throughout the US.

Volunteering and former students who graduated from US universities are registered with the website to provide first-hand knowledge to potential and inexperienced students. To date, about 500 volunteers are listed on the website’s database.

The website was founded by six students currently studying in the US: Mohamed Saleh Munshi, Asem Majed Othman, Thamer Al-Mutairi, Ahmed Abu Rezaiza, Farraj Al-Rashidi and Rozan Naji.
