DAMMAM: The celebration of the 86th National Day comes at an important time, coinciding with the launch of Vision 2030 which aims to diversify sources of income, raise the efficiency of the economy to attract foreign investment, and shift the Saudi investment economy to a productive economy, according to Sharqiya businessmen.
Abdul Rahman Al-Otaishan, chairman of the Sharqiya Chamber, said: "On this day, we remember the effort of the Kingdom's founder King Abdulaziz, who was able to unite the country under one flag, and lay the foundations upon which the modern Saudi state has been established."
"Throughout the past 86 years, our country has moved toward a comprehensive development process marked by constant improvement in conditions for all citizens, bringing the country up to the ranks of developed nations," Al-Otaishan said.
Al-Otaishan said that the most important element of the Kingdom's success and progress is the Saudi citizen, who is given the top priority in all development plans and programs for national transformation.
The secretary-general of the Sharqiya Chamber, Abdul Rahman Al-Wabil, said: "The Kingdom enjoys social peace, which is one of the most important foundations for growth and a necessity for the civilized progress sought by all countries."
