RIYADH: Female legal advisers working at legal support offices in personal status courts are helping women overcome barriers of limited knowledge of legal affairs and difficulties in completing lawsuit documentation and procedures.
This comes at a time when the Ministry of Justice confirmed its intention to expand the scope of support offices to include personal status courts.
Female legal support services in personal status courts involved 8,270 services, including help filling out lawsuit documentation, giving legal advice and providing legal guidance to 6,362 women during the first half of this year.
The Ministry of Justice, in coordination with Mawadah, a charitable organization for the reduction of divorce and its effects, has allocated women’s offices for legal support, awareness and guidance to women filing cases with personal status courts in order to help facilitate their cases and procedures.
