The Hail Municipality has started leveling properties to implement the expansion project of the King Abdul Aziz Road in the city after paying SR150 million in compensation to property owners.

The Finance Ministry has approved an amount of SR300 million for the 13 km road with a width of 60-meters which will connect the downtown districts of the city with all major roads.

The municipality urged the owners of the building to claim their compensations and vacate their properties at the earliest.

Hail Gov. Prince Saud bin Abdul Mohsen said in a statement early last month that a ministerial order had been issued for an additional allocation of SR275 million for the road project including the cost of appropriation of properties in the budget of the Hail Municipality for this year.

The prince also stressed the importance of starting the project after the municipality received the funds.

The prince urged all departments and agencies to double their efforts to complete the project, in addition to publishing the details of the implementation of the project such as the period taken for each stage of the project for the benefit of the public.
