The Civil Defense in Riyadh has retrieved the body of an African worker, 43, from a manhole inside Imam Mohammed bin Saud Islamic University in Riyadh.

The accident occurred while the man was involved in maintenance work in the eight-meter-deep hole on the campus.

Maj. Mohammed Al-Hamadi, spokesman of CDD, said his officers had tried to rescue the man, but failed.
