RIYADH: The Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTNH) has taken the lead in celebrating National Day by carrying out an ambitious job-training program for the citizens of Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.

“Celebrating the auspicious occasion by activating social engagement, the SCTNH has invited all citizens to participate in workshops to be held on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in all the three cities,” Nasir bin Abdul Aziz Al-Nashmi, director general of Takamul, said.

The main objective of the workshop is to show that tourism and national heritage in its various divisions includes thousands of promising career opportunities.

“National Day is an opportunity to recall the heroics of our ancestors who fought for the foundation and unification of our homeland and the great spirit with which they built our beloved country,” he said.

“Our current generation is not less in any way than the people who preceded them and who offered great services to the Kingdom.”

Al-Nashmi urged jobseekers in the tourism and heritage sectors to register enroll themselves for the workshops through the link www.scta.gov.sa/ttp.

According to Takamul, the workshop will also focus on citizens’ role in accelerating the wheel of economic development, social security and stability, besides reviewing the success stories of citizens working in different sectors of tourism.

The participants will be awarded with certificates approved by the commission.

Meanwhile, the capital is gearing up for the grand celebration.

Commenting on National Day observations, Mohammad Zeyad, a university student, said that there are many ways to show love and respect for the beloved country.

“Respecting national heritage, rules and guidelines, showing better driving habits, working hard in school and colleges, putting more efforts at work, accelerating the wheel of development, and being more aware of the use of national assets, thus contributing handsomely to the National Transformation Program, are some of the ways to show love and respect for the homeland,” he said.
