RIYADH: The Center for Productive Families (Jana) inaugurated a number of projects in Yanbu recently to help women entrepreneurs.

Mahmoud Al-Shami, executive director of the center, said the projects were launched in partnership with the Saudi Credit & Savings Bank.

“The center helps women to boost their skills. It also achieves the overall objective, which is economic empowerment of women in the society,” he said.

He said the Saudi Credit & Savings Bank has offered SR36 million for the center to help women entrepreneurs in various regions of the Kingdom.

He said the center trains women on business professionalism to achieve maximum results.

“In investing the amount extended them as capital, women entrepreneurs are expected to develop promising family projects,” he said.

They’re are also expected to raise the level of production among Saudi female workers so that they help in raising sustainable income for their families.

He urged the women entrepreneurs to avail the self-employment opportunities. He said the women entrepreneurs have received microcredit services without the traditional guarantees.
