Several young Saudi women graduated from the Saleh Al-Omar Certified Translation firm (SACT) on Tuesday as translators and interpreters.

After graduating from King Saud University’s translation department, Meaad Abdulkarim Al-Jraid and Sarah Hamza Al-Hawsawi needed only one year at the SACT to become professional practitioners.

Saleh Al-Omar, SACT’s general manager, said: “Interpreting requires a lot of training and a strong mind. Although these young women were fresh graduates, they proved their ability to face any problems in the business.”

Al-Jraid said: “I’m proud to be a professional legal, press, administrative, military, academic, and medical translator and interpreter.”

Al-Hawsawi said many conference and seminar organizers have called her to do work.

The SACT provides translation and interpreting services to conferences and workshops in Saudi Arabia in English, French and Spanish.
