Shahrukh Khan controversy

Shahrukh Khan or any Khan or Kumar married to a Hindu woman will not be acceptable to Pakistani society. This is a ground reality. If Pakistan had any sympathy for Indian Muslims, then it would not have abandoned more than 600,000 Urdu-speaking East Pakistani Muslims and even Pakistanis by citizenship and emotions. A complete hypocrisy on part of the Pakistani government has hurt the country’s image on international fora. The foolish statement made by Rahman Malik or any other leader of Pakistan is only damaging Shahrukh Khan’s reputation in India and the extremists Hindus are trying to take advantage of such statements. When Pakistan can’t even save its own citizens who are being killed in hundreds each day, how can it provide safety and protection to citizens of other countries? — Hesham A. Syed, Riyadh
