RIYADH: Another team competition takes place on Saturday at Dirab Golf & Country Club, the 1st Annual Maserati Open Golf Tournament 2016.

After last week’s 4th Annual CCOR Open Golf Tournament, a four-ball Texas Scramble event, the city’s golfers again tee it up in the 7:30 p.m. shotgun start Saturday.

This will be a two-ball Texas Scramble format competition that has so far attracted 120 players. Under this format each player on the two-man team will have mandatory eight tee shots with the remaining two optional between the two players.

A huge incentive to try one’s luck in the 18-hole tournament is a gleaming Ghibli S Q4 Maserati car worth SR321,000 that will go to the first player to score a hole-in-one on the 170-yard par-3 No. 7.

All participants will receive goody bag of GNM shirt, GNM cap, golf towel and Titleist Pro V1 golf balls. Major prizes for winners are to be awarded up to the 5th place. Also at stake are skill prizes for longest drive men and ladies and closest to pin unisex.

Maserati is the latest in a line of corporate sponsors to collaborate with Dirab, using the golf platform to boost corporate awareness.
