RIYADH: To close 2016 in a big way, Dirab Golf & Country Club will host the 2nd Annual Xerox BFI Ryder Cup 2016 which takes place on Saturday.
The event follows the high-profile tournament 2nd Annual SGF Open Golf Championship, which was won by Qatari Saleh Al-Kaabi two weeks ago.
Saturday’s tournament generously sponsored by Saudi Xerox features players from banks and financial institutions.
The 18-hole match play competition with a 9 a.m. shotgun start will have a total of 72 players, with each side to have 36 in the lineup or 18 two-man teams.
Banks & Insurance and SAMA and Finance face off once again in a battle for supremacy on the golf course. The team that wins the most points takes home the trophy.
Last year’s inaugural tournament was won by SAMA & Finance team captained by Tariq Javed, which beat Banks and Insurance in the four ball better ball match play format competition by 14.5-5.5 points.
All participants will receive a valuable goody bag which contains Cutter & Buck jacket, Callaway polo shirt, Callaway cap, and callaway glove compliments of Xerox Saudi Arabia.
