RIYADH: The first major tournament of 2016 at Nofa Golf Resort takes place on Friday when 96 players tee it up for the 2nd Hyundai-Wallan Golf Tournament 2016.

The two ball Texas Scramble format competition will have an 8 a.m. shotgun start, with the competitors in chase of the five major prizes including two Ping-G drivers for the champion team. The first runner-up team will receive metalwoods, second runner-up hybrid clubs, third runner-up Taylormade R1 woods and fourth runer-up Taylormade RBZ woods.

There will also be a hole-in-one prize, a gleaming Hyunda Santa Fe car sponsored by Arabian Shield.

Upon registration, players will each receive a goody bag that contains golf polo shirt, cap, sleeve of balls, golf towel, bag tag and Titleist sack pack. As usual, there will be raffle draws of prizes.

According to Golf Club Manager Nishad Mohd. Kunju, the golf course is in top shape following the winter season.
