JEDDAH: Abid of Zamil Cool Care, Usman of Emper Perfumes, Aadil of Gujarat Eagles hit centuries and Ismail of New Young Stars bagged a fiver were among the top performers of the week during the WPCA Summer League, organized by the Western Province Cricket Association.

In the premier division, Hala Friends made short work of Al Ghamdi Cricket Stars by 96 runs. The highlight of the match was Hassan Malik, who scored 78 runs off 34 balls for Hala Friends.

In the morning summer league, New Young Stars got the better of Cousin XI by 36 runs. Ismail did most of the damage and bagged 5 for 24 for the winners.

Emper Perfumes got past Gujarat Eagles by 33 runs. Thanks to Usman Amjad’s match winning innings of an unbeaten 135 off 61 balls. Aadil’s 141 runs for the Eagles went in vain.

Deloitte scored a thrilling 9-run win over Hanifa Tigers. Owais top-scored with 62 runs for the winning side. In a one-sided match, Jeddah Challengers thrashed Stallions by 9 wickets. Tata Motors trounced Indian Knight Riders by 7 wickets.

In the best match of the day, Zamil Cool Care scored a thrilling three-run win over Jeddah Royals. Abid scored a match winning unbeaten 113 for the winners in a total of 176 for 4. Azahar led the run chase for Jeddah Royals with 57 runs.

In another interesting match Kabbani Cricket Group downed ADI XI by 7 runs. Kabbani totaled 189 for 6. ADI XI responded with 182 for 8. In another match, Ralco got the better of Sadafco by 6 wickets.

In the summer afternoon league, Hala International School humbled United by 117 runs, Nestle Milo won against Hala Academy White by 6 wickets, Elaf Advance routed AMI Juffali by 54 runs, Jotun Paints crushed Azizya Elegant by 98 runs, Fuchs Al Hamrani crushed Choudhry XI by 9 wickets and Hyundai eased past MCC by 6 wickets.
